Beauty seen in starlight
Hidden flaws away from the bright
Charmed is the heart of mine
Blinded my eyes over time
Pride towered over many men
Failure eroded it like winds of sand
Sifted through the sieve of life
Seeing it can never be without strife
Yet hope and love remain
Within grasp of those in pain
